Diamond Post Medal for All Time! 1,298 Posts Pork shoulder is a cheaper alternative to buy and tastes just as delicious as more expensive meat cuts! These pork shoulder steaks are perfect for the grill because they're sliced thinly and will grill faster.
Prep Time: 10 minutes + overnight marinate
Cook Time: 2-3 minutes per side
Total Time: Varies depending on thickness
Yield: 5 people
Ingredients:
- 3 lb pork shoulder steaks
- 2 tsp ginger
- 4 garlic clove
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 Tbsp soy sauce
- 2 Tbsp sugar
- 4 Tbsp white miso soy paste
- 3 Tbsp sake
- dash black pepper
Steps:
- Chop garlic and ginger.
- In a large zip loc bag, add all ingredients; chopped garlic, ginger, miso, sake, sugar, soy sauce, olive oil and dash of pepper. Close bag up and mix/shake ingredients.
- Add pork shoulder steaks in the zip loc bag with marinate made and give the bag some shakes to coat marinate on all the steaks. Allow to marinate overnight.
- Heat grill and grill for about 2-3 minutes per side or until done depending on how thick your pork shoulder steaks are.
