Motley (Australian Cattle Dog)

Motley is a 4 month old Australian Cattle Dog. I adopted Motley from an ad on Craigslist. His picture was so adorable, and I liked what I read about the breed, especially that they are loyal, protective, and loving family members. Many people recognize his breed from the Mad Max movie. He loves playing with our Australian Shepherd, Sadie, who is 1 year old (and from Craigslist too). Tug o' war is their favorite thing. Motley is a beautiful dog, and a real pleasure. He is sweet and silly like any puppy. He fit in with our household right away.

He makes us laugh all the time, especially when he play-fights with Sadie. They are best buddies already. Motley has completed our little family, which includes my partner, James, and my Pomeranian, Dallas. It's the cutest thing, but Motley, who is now a good bit bigger than Dallas, does not try to play with Dallas. Dallas thinks that play is beneath his doggie dignity. But he accepts Motley, and is even getting to be friendly with him. We named him Motley due to his coloring, and to be able to call our pets "Motley's Crew".
