Cleaning around your toilet seat hinge can be fiddly and time consuming. A cloth won't get into all the cracks and crevices. Antibacterial spray is good for getting in there and killing the germs but won't banish the stains.
I find that a mould and mildew spray, which mostly consists of bleach, is brilliant for getting rid of unsightly yellowing and it kills bacteria too

I make my own with a spray bottle, some water and bleach. You don't have to buy it.
Thanks for that tip Marcie - will do that and refill the bottle when it runs out
Want to share this chuckle with you. I just finished washing the bathroom sink and said I do the toilet later. With big guys in the family the toilet I do daily. So I decided to see if anyone has an easier cleaning idea than me.
My two go to disinfectant choices are bleach and vinegar. My husband always puts the seat down. He does leave his mark occasionally, but he's pretty good about cleaning up after himself.
Hi realestatemama from across "the pond". That's brilliant to hear. Haha - it's always the men in our lives that cause us problems with the toilet seat!
My husband actually puts the seat down when he's finished in the bathroom. LOL He grew up with his Mom, and two sisters. His dad was away a lot working.
