A female laid eggs on the boat. We must move the boat. How can I move the eggs, so that the female can care for them? I am on a busy sport lake in Michigan.

This is definitely a tricky situation for a number of reasons. To really answer the question would take quite a bit of space, so the best answer right now is to contact a licensed wildlife rehabilitator in your area before even thinking of moving the nest. That way the rehabber can ask you the necessary questions to determine the best course of action. Thank you for being so caring. Birds do make nests in strange places and it always amazes me as a rehabber how imaginative the birds are when it comes to a location.
Sometimes birds will choose a nesting site that is dangerous for their eggs or simply in the wrong spot around your home. Some research can help to successfully move the nest and egg(s) and prevent similar nesting in the future.
