Murray Riding Mower Not Shifting Gears?

Murray Riding Mower Not Shifting Gears I just put a motion belt on a Murray 12/38 model # 38608x92a. Now that the belt is on it still acts as if it's in neutral, on or off. Am I missing a way that the transaxle can be disengaged? Because even when it's off and in gear it moves as if it's in neutral.

There is a problem with the drive chain or the clutch slipping. Check the drive chain and clutch to make sure the gears are locking in place when the motor tries to shift.
