I rescued a year and a half old blue nose female Pit Bull that was already fixed. The person from the rescue place told me the owner was moving and could no longer keep her. I have had her for about four months.
She seems to have had some training. She knows sit, shake paw, and no. She is like a baby she thinks she is a lap dog. She will even let you pick her up and hold her on your hip with her arms around your neck.
My mom has a small dog like a Maltipoo with three legs. On one or two occasions prior to me getting Princess from the pound my mom's dog has met her on a pass by. I then moved and it had been three months since visiting my mom. We spent the night. My mom had brought her dog in the front door from going to the bathroom. I was asleep on the living room floor and my Pit was on the the couch watching my mom's dog walk over to me. She then leaps off of the couch and starts attacking him. I felt so bad I was yelling and screaming at her, "Stop Princess, no let him go this is not OK." Thank God she didn't hurt him and she did let go.

These dogs are really smart and punishing it by putting it in the car really doesn't address the issue. I had a few fosters, which I had to pull them off another dog with their hind legs. You have to be careful as they can bite when they have their minds on other things.
With these dogs, which I have had about seven or so fosters, they can get into a mindset of protecting you and you have to realize that is in their personality. To the dog you have the other dog was encroaching on his mom. You have to realize that this is not going to be trained out and plan for it not to happen. Having a pit discover another dog in the house that he has not seen will not end well. I would always make sure people know not to bring their dog in the house until your dog is crated in another room and secure where he can't get out.
It is not meanness, but just the way they are a lot of the times.
I am putting some links on here on how to train these dogs:

Hope some of this helps!

I agree. I had a pittbull, loved by everyone, neighbors and employer. At work, there was a Jack Russell. She always wanted to play with him, they got along great. When the owners came home, the JR would bark at her like saying these are my people leave them alone. Didn't want them giving her any attention. So when the JR came to my house, same sorta thing. She would sit in front of me and not let him near. I had also brought a rescue over to play and to socialize with. They played, had a great time. The minute l sat down and rescue came over she blocked him and just snapped letting him know this is mine. I said no, put her in the house for a few seconds, repeating several times. When she came out had one dog on each side letting her know it was ok. Gave her extra love, letting her know I am hers and she is mine. She's gone now, bone cancer. Never have I loved and felt adored
