I'm looking for some suggestions of names for our senior citizens groups at my church. We are age 55 and up. Let me know what you have. Perhaps I will choose one of them.
We are Golden,Golden Angels!
Supportive Sages
Aging Sages
How about something upbeat like:
Team Wisdom
OR
STARS...which stands for:
Seniors
Taking
Action
Ready to
Serve
Post back what you decide!
God's Aging Angels
Angels Take Flight
Unstoppable Angels
I'm not sure that I would want to belong to a group named angels but it's good that everyone feels differently about 'titles'.
Happy Seniors
Blessed Seniors
Joyful Seniors
Merry Seniors
I have even heard some of the following names when our groups have our annual get-together.
Groovy Seniors
Over-the-Moon Seniors
Some groups also use friends instead of seniors.
The name should suit some of your members but should also be suitable for new members.
And, of course, the names should be voted on (maybe anonymously?).
Looking for a name for senior 65 and over for my church
Prime Timers!!
How about "Geezers at Large"? This would show that you don't really take yourselves all that seriously. The "older folks" comments that I really resent is when someone obviously younger than I am tries to tell me that I am 81 years "young".

My friend and I are getting a group of senior citizens together from our church to take a day, once a month, to go somewhere close and have a luncheon and activity. We would like a name for ourselves. I thought it would be nice to have a name that would inspire them to get excited about having a name and official group. Thank you.

Our church's senior group is called the JOY Group... JOY being an acronym for Just Older Youth.
They have get-togethers about once a month or so. Camp-outs, meals at special restaurants, board game nights with snacks, movie nights, trips, etc.
The first that comes to mind is Sassy Seniors! Also "Off your rockers" and incorporate that into something that says "get up and get going". And lastly, how about "Once a month Wonders". I think this is a great idea so keep up the good work.
Our church has a wonderful senior group name which you might like. It's JOY (Just Older Youth)!
The Go Getters
We have a senior citizen association, but would like to identify ourselves with a new "branding".

I have plans to start an elderly day group to help the elderly get out of their homes, go have a laugh, a great time at the park, beach, etc. Please help name my elderly group.
A friend of mine who recently celebrated her 89th reminds me that we all revert to childhood as we age. Why not go with something around that idea? Kids Again, Childhood 2.0 (for example).
Thank you Rosie will keep in mind. Anyone else with a great name idea for an elderly group
