Hello all, I live in a mobile home court. I need help on what can I plant (plant wise) in my front yard to soak up a lot of water? There must be some kind of plant that loves a lot and can grow in a very wet yard. This would help me so much. Help if you can.

First off if you live in a mobile home park and there is an issue with water in your yard you should contact the owner of the park. There is a drainage problem in your yard or you could have a broken pipe that is under the ground that is keeping it wet all the time. Your ground should not be so wet all the time and there is an issue. I know in mobile home parks you are required to pay rent for the lot your mobile home sits on. The owner of the lot has to maintain the lot and make sure there are no issues at all.
Thank you for your help,I shall check this out,but once I get this taken care of,could you give me some ideas to what would last long to plant?thanks, nancy
The plants I will suggest will deal with mostly the area you live in. I will need to know what state you live in to pick the best types of plants for your area.
I live in the south eastern wi.,I love all plants....just no trees(small) thanks for helping me with this.nancy
Most tropical plants you can do(with sun) . Liriope, Monkey Grass, Iris, Canna, Water Hyssop, Elephants Ear, Swamp Hisbiscus, Cattail , and more. Make sure there is sun to grow, and that it is ok to grow in your complex.
OH yes,we have a lot of sun where my home is,that's no problem.i have permission to plant what I want and with in reason.i love these plants you suggested.thanks, nancy
We just planted Weeping Willow Trees in my mother in law and brother in laws yards for this purpose. They love the moisture.
