Needle Getting Stuck in Bobbin Shuttle?

February 11, 2020

The needle on my Kenmore 385-12814 sewing machine is running into the shuttle assembly. It started as I was half way through a project. Any ideas?

When this happens the bobbin could have come loose or moved around or the assembly has moved. Try taking this out and cleaning the area and putting it back together to see if this helps.

The machine is out of timing. The needle or shuttle may have been moved out of position, or the hook is out of alignment. There are videos on YouTube that show how to fix it, or you can take it in for servicing.
