I have a Singer sewing machine model 6268. When I turn on the power the needle moves to the right and then does not move when I try to use the machine. What could be the problem?

Have you wound a bobbin lately? You may have forgotten to re-engage the clutch
Do you have a zig zag dial? If so, the click may between staight and zig zag. My old Kenmore has this issue when it gets a big dust build up under the dial. I take a clean old tooth brush and carefully dust and that usually lets my dials click correctly.
If you have tried cleaning and removing the bobbin you may have to ask a technician.
