I just replaced a few 10ft. × 10ft. sections of my lawn with some common fescue sod. It needed some regrading of the soil height for drainage purposes. So when I removed the old grass, I made sure to turn the soil up to around 10 in. deep fertilized it and tamped it down to a firm but not solid turf. Then I soaked it down, bought my sod from a reputable nursery and installed it to industry specs. I made sure to water it once every morning and once every evening. Now 2 - 3 weeks later, about 2/3 of the sod has turned brown and looks like it died. I even tried raking off the dead growth or I should say lack of, and spread lawn seed, but it's still the same. How do I fix this?

Make sure you dont have grubs in the lawn.
Try some Turf Builder, along with water!
If I may, please call the nursery back and ask for guidance and possibly replacement sod. They should know their product failed. Sometimes it is just a bad product and not anything you did wrong.
Post back with an update! I would hope they would work with you!
