Newspaper Gift Bag - flower decorations It's easy to make a gift bag using any paper including newsprint, brown parcel paper, or gift wrap. If you want to go the eco route then newspaper looks just fine if you add some lovely ribbon, bows, buttons, flowers, raffia, or other colourful embellishments to finish it off.

Supplies:

1 cardboard carton
1 pair of scissors
sticky tape
newspaper
hole punch
long length of decorative string, narrow ribbon or cord
embellishment such as paper flowers

Steps:

Choose a rectangular box such as a food carton or use a thick book the right size for a template for your gift bag.
Wrap a few turns of newspaper around it. Don't wrap it too tight; you will need to be able to remove the paper without tearing it.
