When I look at my photos, the furniture doesn't look yellow, but it is. My husband and I both smoked for years and the wood went from nearly white to very yellow. It's just the finish that's stained. I want to do it myself. Is there a miracle product that removes the top layer of finish?

A solution of 8 parts water to one part vinegar will remove the nicotine.

To remove nicotine from painted wood dilute 3/4 cup water with a gallon of bleach in a bucket. Dip a sponge or rag in the mixture. Rub onto hard-to-remove nicotine stains.
