I have wood floors in my dining room that we now use for an office with a roller chair. The chair started to dull and seemed to whiten my floor. We bought a plastic floor mat to solve the problem, but the marks are still there. Any suggestions on how to restore the floor and keep this from happening again? The floors are not old, 4 years and pre-finished.

You can sand the floor, and re-finish it. Again have a chair mat which ensures that your floors are protected from the scuffs and scratches that chairs will make as they slide around. You can get a quality chair mat here, www.floormatsystems.com/
