This is a great, moist cake recipe! Great for picnics and potlucks!
Ingredients:
- 2 1/4 cups flour
- 3/4 tsp. baking powder
- 3/4 tsp. baking soda
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 stick butter or margarine
- 1 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 cup buttermilk
Frosting:
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 3/4 stick margarine
- 3 oz. cream cheese
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 Tbsp. milk or cream
Directions:
- Mix eggs, sugar, margarine, buttermilk, and vanilla until well blended.
- Then sift all dry ingredients of flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt together. Add to preceding mixture.
- Bake at 350 degrees F for 40 minutes in greased and floured 9x13 pan.
- For frosting, mix all ingredients until smooth. Spread on cooled cake.
