Organizing Apps on iPhones and iPads

It's easy to organize iPhone and iPad apps. Just drag similar apps over each other and they will automatically create a folder and name itself. From here, you can add to them very easily. One trick is to leave a space on the bottom line to move apps around.

In other words, if you want to move an app from one screen to another, you must move the app to the bottom line then scroll to the next screen and move that app to where you want them. Hope this helps.
