I used to attach my receipts to my bank statements each month, Now I've decided to put the receipts in the junk and bill envelopes I receive. I just write the month on the outside. This way if I ever need a receipt to return something, I just go to the envelope instead of digging through my bank statements. So easy! Another idea is to use an envelope for each department store, etc.

Good idea:)
That works.
I keep big box store/ grocery receipts, mainly just from my last visit, in my wallet in case something needs to be returned. If I buy anything "big" I keep the receipt with the warranty or manual. Old food receipts or dollar store visits are discarded.
Most till receipts fade even when in an envelope in a dark drawer. When I bo't my appliances I took a pic of each receipt which was then filed in the computer. Easy to print off if needed.
