Bronze Post Medal for All Time! 239 Posts A traditional child's toy that can be made in a jiffy from things everyone has in the home. Any paper can be used for this, but if you have traditional origami paper, all the better.
Supplies:
- 1 square of paper
- 1 square of baking foil
- 1 piece of string
- optional tissue paper
Steps:
- Lay the paper face down if it has a right side.
- Fold in half from corner to corner.
- Fold the right corner over to the left so that the top edge is horizontal.
- Repeat on the left hand side.
- Fold the top layer of the top corner down and tuck it inside the left hand flap.
- Fold the final top corner down and tuck it inside the cup.
- Fold flat the opposite way and pinch the sides.
- Turn the cup upside down and press down on the base.
- Pinch the 2 points and fold the down flat to make a base.
- Make a hole with something pointed such as a cocktail stick or kebab stick.
- Thread the string through and secure with a knot.
- Place the foil on top of the tissue paper if you are using it.
- Place the other end of the string in the middle of the foil and screw it into a ball.
- The longer you make the string the harder it is to catch the ball in the cup.
