Does anyone have the recipe for the blue cheese topping that Outback Steakhouse puts on top of the beef fillet?
By Rose Smith from Malvern, PA
I've never had that dish at Outback so I am not sure what ingredients are in it but I have a really tasty recipe for Blue Cheese Steak topping that, besides steak, I also use to slather on bread and even to flavor pasta. It's worth at least trying.
4 oz. blue cheese, crumbled or cut into small cubes
4 Tbsp. salted butter
1/2 small yellow onion, finely chopped
Melt butter in a sauce pan over medium high heat; add onion and sauté until onion is transparent.
Add blue cheese and slowly stir until melted, without over cooking, and remove from heat.
