Overnight Cabbage

I like the tangy taste of this recipe!

Ingredients:

  • 5 cups chopped cabbage
  • 1/2 cup green pepper, chopped
  • 1 cup chopped celery
  • Advertisement

  • little carrot, just for color
  • 1/2 cup vinegar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. mustard seed

Directions:

Soak first 4 ingredients in water with 2 Tbsp. salt for 20 minutes or more. Boil and cool the next 4 ingredients. Drain cabbage, pour cooled vinegar over cabbage and mix well. Cover tightly and keep refrigerated overnight.

Servings: 8
Prep Time: 20 Minutes
Cooking Time: 20 Minutes
