I just bought a Black & Decker B2300 bread machine. I washed and put in the paddles, recipe ingredients, and followed the directions to set on dough cycle. Well the paddles don't do anything, but the timer is counting down. Help?

Turn the machine over and unscrew the bottom. You probably need to replace a belt.
Removed the screws, but the bottom doesn't come off. What next?
Don't bother with a Black and Decker breadmaker. I bought 2 or 3 of them over time because they make 3 lbs of bread. The basket base sticks then falls apart.
It says in the instructions there is a 15 min delay. Mine was about 17 but then it started.
This seems to be an ongoing problem with these breadmakers you have to repostion the paddles in the spindle.
You should be able to turn it by hand before putting the pan in the machine with no ingredients In it. Sometimes they lock up if there is burnt bread on the underside of the pan - due to a leaking pan seal.
Did you account for the 15-minute pre-heat delay the unit has?
