My current bathroom has a light purple tub and light purple and white tiles half way up the walls. I want to paint and add some accessories, but don't know what colors to use.

LOL! you just described my own bathroom but mine doesn't have a tub or shower. The sink and tile floor are a lavender with cream color tiles going halfway up the wall, and an old fashion, dingy wallpaper on the top of the walls. The toilet is a mixture of lavender, cream & pale blue. I'm thinking of painting over the wallpaper a soft, deeper purple, and decorating the room in very shabby chic, in different shades of purple, pink, cream and pale blue.
I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with yours.
