I'm putting in new Oyster colored carpet. What color should I paint my walls?

What other colors will be in the room? Is it a bedroom or living room or something else? I think that makes a difference. When I first read "oyster colored carpet" I pictured a light cocoa colored wall but that might change if there was a dark brown couch and chair or a pale oak bed.
