If you have painted the wall once it shouldn't be an issue to paint them again. Try a small area first with your paint to make sure it will cover over the older paint. If not, then you may need to add a coat of primer to the walls first before you add your paint.
If your original paint was dark, you may need a primer, otherwise, you should be able just paint.
