Diamond Post Medal for All Time! 1,298 Posts My daughter insists that we should have pet fishes, but we're not quite ready for a fish tank, so this paper aquarium will do! She had a fun time making this and this would make a nice indoor craft/activity to do. Afterwards, you can hang this up on the wall and it'll be a paper aquarium instead. She can still visit and watch her fish! :)
Total Time: 30 minutes
Supplies:
- 2 paper plates
- scissors
- hot glue
- construction paper
- fish paper cutter
- assorted rocks
- markers/paint
Steps:
- I have a fish hole puncher so I punched out assorted color fishes. If you do not have a fish hole puncher like I do, you can free hand cut out fishes or draw the fishes on.
- Have your toddler paint/color the background of a paper plate. My daughter used, Do A Dot Art Markers.
- Hot glue assorted rocks at the bottom of the paper aquarium.
- Using gluestick glue down paper fishes.
- Using your second plate, cut a slit in the plate and follow the circle rim to cut out. Then glue to your original plate to create your aquarium.

My husband says I'm not ready for a fish tank. I'm going to make this cute craft to humour him :D Thank you!

a really clever idea! I have 2 large under the bed sweater boxes filled with things my 4 boys made when they were little. This will become more precious as time goes on.
