This Easter basket is a treat on its own. Fill it up with Easter treats and it makes the perfect gift for a child or even an adult!
Total Time: 20 minutes
Yield: 1 basket
Supplies:
- 2 double packages of Peeps chicks
- 2 packages Peeps bunnies
- 1-2 bags Easter grass
- various Easter candies
- hot glue gun
- wire-edged ribbon, optional
- cardboard or heavy cardstock
Steps:
- Run a line of glue along the edge of a box of Peeps chicks. Attach to the back edge of a box of Peeps bunnies.
- Attach a second box of bunnies to the other edge of the box of chicks.
- Attach the second box of chicks to the two bunny boxes.
- Place a piece of cardboard or cardstock underneath the Peeps boxes. Using a pencil trace around the boxes so you can trim down the paper to make a bottom for your Easter basket.
- Attach the cut paper to the bottom of the Peeps boxes with hot glue.
- Turn the basket back over and fill it up with Easter grass.
- Fill the basket up with your favorite candies. If you want, create a bow with wire-edge ribbon. Cut a length of ribbon to wrap around the basket and secure with hot glue. Then attach the bow to the ribbon using a piece of wire or glue.
