I got a perm. The perm was not at all spirals and looks like I had braided my hair. My ends are ripping off and I must now get a haircut. It has now been a day since the perm. Will putting in curlers while it continues to set help it get curlier?

It sounds like you went to a salon to have your hair permed. If you have paid for this and are not happy you must go back to the salon and talk with the owner. It also sounds like they have really damaged your hair on the ends and this is very bad. I would go back and ask for a refund and also see what they can do to help you out.
