Pests can be a problem around pet food; moths, beetles, and mice all love to dine on these 'delicacies'. We don't want our precious pet's food to be infested or contaminated. Another concern is that if we are offering a virtual buffet to mice, they will infest our homes as well; why rough it in the wild when food is being served up freely? Keep your pet food in containers with lids. You can always find inexpensive storage containers on sale. I bought this brand new cake - keeper for $2 at Walmart. You can always recycle something you have on hand, but be aware of its previous uses. I saved a larger bird seed container to store smaller bags of mixed specialty seeds. Birds are especially delicate; be certain that nothing toxic has ever been stored in the container you choose, especially if it's made of plastic. Honestly, it's better to be safe than sorry, especially when it comes to our little babies. A watchful eye will yield great storage choices for very little cost. Metal or plastic trash cans with lids come in several sizes and are perfect for cat and dog food; they can even be decorated to suit your style. (This is a fun project to do with the children!) With just a bit of thought and a few dollars, you can keep your pet food and your home pest-free!

We are Human people. Our feathered friends are Bird people. All animals are just different species of people. If this concept is ever accepted worldwide, this will be a much better place for all we people; feathered, two legged, four legged or finned.
I think Ivey is on to this concept.
