I used to have a gentleman friend when I lived in San Diego, California. I was just 21 so this would have been in 19.. Never mind!
We lost touch. But before we did, I had the extreme honor to have a poem written for me by this lovely man.
Total Time: About 1 hour
Yield: 1
Source: I have seen some like this on Pinterest.
Supplies:
- frame with one large glass or with several smaller ones. ($1.00)
- poem copy ($0.00)
- Multiple Scrabble tiles ($.01 each)
- 1 or more photos ($.05)
- 1/2 oz glue ($.25)
- scissors ($0.00)
- scanner and paper ($0.00)
- 6 in tape ($.01)
Steps:
- Choose the frame, photo(s), and poem you want to display. Copy the photo and the frame. You don't want to take a chance on the glass hurting the originals.
- Tape the poem and photo copy to the backing. I then put the front of the original stock photos upside down as backing. So the fake photo sheet is now upside down so you have a nice white background.
- I then chose my tiles and arranged them kind of like they were leaning on each other. The city I wanted straight. This is outside on the glass. I put a small spot of glue on the tile, knowing they can ooze some when they are pressed down.
- This poem and his photo mean so much to me, I wanted to stop keeping them safe and display them. This way I can do both. I hope this inspires someone to make something fun with the scrabble tiles. And you can get them in colors and originals on Amazon. N-JOY!!

Yep. I agree. Had I stayed with him, I never would have had my beautiful daughter and three amazing grandsons!
