Just got a bag of pistachios from my mom-in-law. I enjoyed snacking on it while setting aside the shells because it gave me another concept of art. It's amazing 'cause the shells are hard and I know it is a stable material for handicrafts. Here's the first craft I made from pista shells.
Supplies:
- Pistachio shells
- Hot glue/white glue
- Paint and paint brush
- 1 piece cardboard
- 1 piece string / necklace
- any available accessories such as beads, glitters, etc.
Steps:
- Paint pista shells with your desired color. Color them with dark to light shades for contrast.
- Cut a bowl shaped cardboard. The size always depends on your own preference.
- Make a hole in both ends.
- Stick the shells into the cardboard, use hot glue or white glue to secure in place. Align them from dark to light.
- Add more details if you want.
- I painted the back part with black. Then insert the string from one hole to another.
- Spray the pendant with glitters or decorate with gems. (Optional)
- Now it's ready to wear.
