Is it okay to do one party for a 60th birthday and retirement together? They are within weeks of each other. Also, when is the best time to have it?
Is this for the same person? If so, I don't see a problem with combining both milestones.
If they're for different people, it'll work out also if they're both really close and wouldn't mind sharing the spotlight.
As far as the day for the party, you could survey the people you plan on inviting and see what weekend/day would work best.
It would be fine, especially if guests are coming from far away.
