You can try an online search with your question-I pulled up many magicians, companies and shows offering tickets, but very few offered ideas.

Magicians use "patter" (this is what it's called when they talk while they are doing the trick) to create a story about what they're doing. It makes the show more entertaining and can provide a distraction when necessary. Family shows would use "patter" appropriate to a young audience.
