This craft uses an old lamp, a unique drainage system, and a plant "shade" on top!
Total Time: 1 hour
Yield: 1
Supplies:
- old floor lamp with electrical cord and parts removed
- metal cleaner
- bundt cake pan
- plastic pot
- long screw
- small scrap wood
- drill and drill bits
- white spray paint
Steps:
- Shine the tarnished metal, if necessary, with a metal cleaner.
- Drill holes in a bundt cake pan for drainage purposes. Place bundt cake pan over pole. This works well because the bundt cake pan has a hole in the middle that fits perfectly over the pole of the floor lamp pole. We then added the top of the lamp to hold the pan in place. (Every lamp is made differently, but this one just happened to work out perfectly.)
- Spray paint the container (I used a plastic pot.) Drill holes in the bottom for drainage. Add a circular piece of wood, using a drill bit, make it the size of the diameter of the top of the pole. Then, screw into the bottom of the plastic pot.
