Just the thing to put smiles on all those little faces Easter morning. These cute little bunnies are quick, easy and inexpensive to make from those plastic fillable eggs. And just right to hold a little surprise of Jelly Beans, M and Ms, coins, etc.
Approximate Time:
Carefully heat an ice pick or nail and poke holes in egg; one on the large end of the egg for the feet, one in back for tail, and two on top for ears.
Cut out the enclosed feet and hat patterns and trace them according to instructions. Glue felt to feet pattern with Tacky and let dry before cutting them out. Put a puddle of hot glue in middle of feet and press egg in place.
Cut two 3-inch pieces of Chenille stem and fold in half. Open the egg, poke ends through the holes, and drizzle enough hot glue over the ends to secure them. Hold until glue cools.
Grasp the sides of stem and pull out to match ears in photo. Slide hat over one ear. Glue ribbon bow in place. Hot glue tail in place.
Using the tip of a paint brush handle, dip into black paint and make eyes and nose for your bunny. Then, either use a fine line brush to paint the whiskers, or draw whiskers on with a black Sharpie felt pen. Note: The PDF copy shows more details and includes a template for the hat and the feet
