Is it normal for the prongs on the plug to be hot when you unplug it after use? I have the manual dial type.

It may be normal for the plug to be slightly warm but never should it be hot to the touch. I would suggest that you not use it as using it could create a fire hazard situation.

This is potentially dangerous. You could have a problem with either the plug or socket
If it's extremely hot to the touch then that could be bad. I would contact the manufacture and let them know about this issue and see if they'll send you a replacement.
