How do you keep the bird seed from falling out of a pop bottle bird feeder?

If your seed is falling out of the holes, I would use a small square or circle cut out of an old screen and hot glue it to the outside of the bottle, then decorate if you wish. Remember to hot glue the spoons or dowels in their holes also, birds won't/can't "perch" if the wood spins. (03/12/2009)

What you have to do is leave the top on when you hang it upside down but you have to drill tiny holes and have pegs the same size as the holes. Push the pegs through from one side straight across to the other side of the bottle so it goes through the other side and is straight. You can do this quite a few times. Then fill the bottle with the bird seed.
Above the pegs, you need to put a very tiny hole above all the pegs on each side. You will have to devise a way to hang your bottle. Or leave it right side up and hang the bottle with a small twine around the neck but you will still have to drill the holes as above.
