Gold Post Medal for All Time! 677 Posts This recipe can be baked at 350 degrees F for 2 hours, but I made it in the crockpot to save energy and to keep my kitchen cool in the summer. It also uses brown rice instead of white.

Ingredients:
- 24 fl oz tomato or pasta sauce
- 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- pinch of red pepper flakes
- ¾ cup brown rice
- 2 Tbsp onion, finely chopped
- ½ teaspoon thyme, dried
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1 lb ground beef
Steps:
- In the liner of the slow cooker, whisk together tomato sauce, water, Worcestershire sauce, and red pepper flakes.
- In a bowl combine rice, onion, and spices.
- Add the ground beef to rice mixture and gently combine.
- Using a tablespoon each, make little meatballs (about 26) and place in the sauce. Cover all the meatballs with the sauce.
- Cover and cook 4-5 hours on low, or until the rice is tender.

I have never tried using rice with meatballs. That is an interesting combination to make meatballs. Thanks for the recipe.
