Diamond Post Medal for All Time! 1,298 Posts This is a delicious and inexpensive meal to prepare. Serve with side of rice and vegetables. Pork riblets were only $1.09 lb. This would be a good alternative for finger food if you're hosting a party, inexpensive to serve and easy to make, in addition to drumsticks, wings, etc.
Prep Time: 10 minutes prep & 30 minutes or overnight marinate
Cook Time: 35 minutes
Total Time: 45 minutes + marinate time
Yield: 3-4 people in addition to rice/vegetables
Ingredients:
- 3 lb pork riblets - bone in
- 1/3 cup hoisin sauce
- 1/3 cup honey
- 1/4 cup white distilled vinegar
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 5 cloves garlic
- 1/2 tsp dry mustard powder
- water
Steps:
- In a large pot, bring water to a boil then turn to low/medium and simmer for 25-30 minutes.
- While ribs are on the stove, chop garlic and prep marinate.
- Your marinate will consist of: soy sauce, honey, mustard powder, vinegar and chopped garlic. Give marinate a good whisk. Set aside a little bowl of marinate to baste later.
- Drain ribs well and put into a large ziplock bag. Allow to marinate for at least 30 minutes to 1 hour or overnight for best results.
- Line parchment on baking pan and add ribs. Brush riblets with the marinate that was set aside.
- Set your oven setting to broil for 3 minutes. Then open your oven and brush marinate all over and broil for another 3 minutes. This will make your riblets crispy and basting to keep them moist. Cook under browned or ready to your consistency.
