I would take a picture of it with my phone, print it out and frame it.
Can you see if you can have the handwriting printed in decal, then you can put the decal on your mirror.
You could use a clear sealant but I think the best idea is to have a photo of it taken then turned into art. You might change your mind about wanting it forever (Im speaking from experience) ;)
Many times people realize (sometimes too late) that almost nothing is a forever thing.
Take several photos and store them different places so you will always have one (at least if/until you change your mind). Be sure to leave the date stamp on your photos.
