Pretzel salad is a recipe that consists of strawberry jello, a creamy middle and a crust made from crushed pretzels. Although it is called a salad, it's really more of a dessert.
Combine crushed pretzels, butter and 3 Tbsp. sugar. Press into 9x13 inch pan and bake at 350 degrees F for 9 minutes. Cool. Mix cream cheese and 1 cup sugar, fold in whipped topping. Spread over baked layer. Dissolve Jello in boiling water, add strawberries. Let mixture congeal until syrupy, then pour over layer of cream cheese. Chill several hours and serve.
