My 6 year old Maltese is potty trained and has started pooping on the floor at any given time. We are a busy family, but nothing has recently changed. There is no certain time that this problem takes place. Can anyone help?

Maybe your dog feels like it is not getting enough attention. Have everyone share their time a little more each day. Also, take the dog out more often, especially right after eating. Try to make it be a good walk with the person taking it out, for a little special one on one time for your dog. Good luck!
If it keeps up, be sure and take her to the vet and rule out a physical condition. She may have developed a problem with her digestive system or can't control her functions anymore.
I wish I knew I have a 7 year old Maltese that is doing the same thing as yours. I have had him for 6 years and he has never done this before.
