OK so I have had my tongue piercing since I was 17. I woke up this morning and my mouth as been so sore and I can't stick my tongue out or up too far. It looks like it has been re-spilt and it has got skin hanging on one is side. What is causing this and why is it doing that? It's not new.
Thank you.

You have an infection in the piercing of your tongue and it needs to be taken care of right away. I would suggest that you see a doctor. Before doing this you can try to use some hydrogen peroxide on the area to clean it up and see if you can get rid of some of the infection around the piercing. You should really take this out and get the infection out of your tongue. You have had this a very long time and now you can build up an allergy to this and it has gotten infected. Go see a doctor today about this.
It's normal. Try to swish with Biotene or hydrogen peroxide, also some warm salt water rinses. If it persists more than a week, go to the place you got it done.
So I had my tongue pierced since I was 17 I've never had none of these things ain't nothing like that before I will get it now I've been using salt water it so I could split a little bit like somebody try to like what appears it and exploding from inside out
This sounds like infection, the only way to be sure is to see a doctor if this persist. This could be from anything!
I would practice same instructions as to when you just got your tongue piercing - practice good oral hygiene. If it persists and doesn't get better in the next few days, I'd see a doctor!
