My puppy recently was diagnosed with parvo. After a very long sleepless nights she is finally eating after 6 long days and drinking again, however I do have two other adult dogs that have been kept away from her. How long should I keep them apart or have they already been exposed?

If your dogs have already been vaccinated, there should be no issue. If not, the home will have to be disinfected with a bleach solution. Parvo can live 6 months inside and up to a year outside. I would call the vet and ask for advice.
Prayers for all of your sweet pups!!
Please call your vet to make sure the other two dogs had the right protections from vaccinations.
If not, ask for what can be done proactively to keep the other two from having issues or how to manage it if something happens.
Also talk to the vet about how to make sure your house and yard can be decontaminated. It is critical that no other dogs come in contact with you dogs or yard until the illness is completely passed and the area is decontaminated.
Hope things work out! Post back with updates. Prayers for all!
Hi,
They have probably already been exposed. They are adults and probably wont acquire the virus at all, since they have a more developed immune system.
You could always buy the vaccine at Tractor Supply and give it to them.
Also, be sure and use bleach to clean with, since it destroys the parvo virus.
Blessings,
Robyn
