In a large bowl mix the first six ingredients till smooth (I just dump the first six ingredients into the bowl) using an electric beater starting on low and then medium and pour into a 9x13 inch pan that has been greased with butter or sprayed with butter flavored cooking spray.
Sprinkle the cake mix over the pumpkin mixture and then take 1 and a 1/2 sticks of butter that has been melted and pour that over the whole thing. Should come out to 3/4 cup of melted butter, maybe a little more. Sprinkle with the nuts and bake! Check after the 50 minute mark with a toothpick and if it comes out clean then it's done! If not give it the extra ten minutes.
This page contains the following solutions.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F, grease bottom of 9x13 inch pan. Combine pumpkin, evaporated milk, eggs, sugar, cinnamon and salt in a large bowl. Pour into a 9x13 inch pan. Sprinkle dry cake mix evenly over pumpkin mixture, top with pecans.
Great dessert, especially for this season, but I like it any time!
Combine the first 6 ingredients (this essentially makes a pumpkin custard similar to pumpkin pie filling). Pour into lightly greased 9x13 inch pan. Sprinkle the cake mix on top with all of the dry cake mix.
In a mixing bowl, combine the pumpkin, evaporated milk, eggs, sugar and pumpkin pie spice together. Pour into a greased 9x13 inch pan.
Mix pumpkin, eggs, milk, sugars, and spices together and put into 9x13 inch pan. Sprinkle with white or yellow cake mix. Drizzle 1/2 cup melted butter on top and sprinkle nuts over that.
