My puppy Peppa has parvo. It has been three days now and she drinks water fine, but I can't get her to eat anything. I need help on how to feed her.

It is normal for parvo puppies to not eat for a few days. Drinking is essential. You can begin to try to tempt her with foods she likes that are easy to digest. When they are very sick in the 1st few days they cant digest much anyway. You really need to ask your Vet how to get her eating again.
My six month old Neo had parvo and I gave her pedialyte,Chacoal pills,1000mg vitamin C & penicillin injection 1/2 cc. I gave her 16oz of pedialyte with 5 charcoal pills, mix the pills with liquid and make pup drink it all.She threw it up.After she threw up I gave her two handfuls of old cooking grease force fed it to her. This worked cause it made her shit out da parvo. Then I waited after she boo boo I gave her a whole cap of peto bismol and waited 20 mins and gave her another 16oz of pedialyte and then a bowl of chicken broth.I also gave her a whole cup of Vitamin C 1000mg package.I did this for 3 days except give her the old cooking grease. Its important tht u keep giving the pup liquids and talk to them.I gave my pup a cup of peptobismo before every feeding to coat her stomach.I notice she started responding and going outside on her own and drinking water. The fourth day she still wouldn't eat so I started force feeding her.
Hi,
The parvo virus affects the lining of the stomach and intestines. That is why dogs do not eat when they have the virus, it is too painful for any kind of food to be in the stomach.
It is more important that the dog drink as much as possible, to stay hydrated and to keep its immune system functioning, and to help the stomach to feel better.
There is no point in feeding the dog while it is sick, because everything will come up or come out, since digestion processes are not working and the inside of the tummy is all inflamed.
When the time is right, your baby will go back to eating.
Blessings,
Robyn
It is much more important that the puppy is drinking than eating. Keep in touch with your vet.
Talk to the vet about liquid nutrition. Prayers for Peppa!! Post back with an update!
