I just lost my puppy akita from parvo. He was 10w old. He received his first shot of vaccine and after 5 days he is dead. He was treated in hospital. I am sure he died from that vaccine. I will never ever vaccinated a dog at this age.

If i ever get another puppy i will isolate dog and wait till he is 14 16w old and then i will vaccinate dog. 3 weeks later i will do titer. My dog is dead bc i trusted vet. Never again!

My blue healer puppy was just admitted for fluids. He was perfectly fine until he received the vaccination. The vet said he must have gotten parvo from his home. He has not been around any other dogs and has been fine since I got him.

Our 16 year old westie died 5 days after getting the DHPP three year booster on Nov.6th, We had to euthanize him on the Nov. 12. There is no doubt it was the vaccine. Had I know that this was a possibility, and if I was better informed about the titer test and the dangers of vaccinating an older dog, I would have done the latter.I trusted our vet, my wife is inconsolable.

I asked the Vet to at least warn pet owners of adverse effects from vaccines as well as the alternative titer tests.

I lost my puppy yesterday to Parvo too. I wholeheartedly believe the parvo vaccine is what killed her.
We went in on December 26th and tested negative for Parvo. I had her tested because I had just gotten her and I wanted to be safe. Then I took her in January 3rd for her 8 week shots where she received the Parvo shot. She started showing signs of being sick (throw up and diarrhea) on Sunday, January 6th. I took her in on Tuesday, January 8th to see what could possibly be wrong, and she tested positive for Parvo. We had to put her down because her white blood cell count was too low to fight. We are absolutely devastated. I am so confused as I did not take her anywhere but to the vet. My heart is so broken. What should I do?

That's the problem with most of these, it's not the vaccine, it taking to the actual vet clinic,

She would come up positive because she just received the shot every time they tell me its parvo I get the medicine and care for them at home I never listen to them. I've had 3 puppies all survive. One of them was really far in more than half way.

I just had my 6 week old pit pull pup de-wormed and Parvo vac. Apprx 4 hrs after the visit she began throwing up with diarrhea. We assumed a lot of this was because of the worms (hook and round). The worms stopped coming out but the vomiting increased. We took her to the ER and she tested positive on Parvo. She spent the night last night with an IV and now has a super high heart rate and had lots of diarrhea last night.

The breeders we got her from still have 10 healthy pups with no issues. We had her only for 6 days prior to Parvo Vac. She never went outside. I know its easy for this breed to get parvo but all logic points to the VAC. What the hell? Did i just sentence my little girl to a painful death? I feel horrible. I just want her to survive and be healthy again.
