Hi there. I got a new puppy. He got his 2nd vaccine today and awhile after we got home he had some diarrhea and possibly with some blood in it, but I can't tell.

Definitely call the vet! Sometimes it is hard to tell if blood or dye from food, but ANY reaction after a shot (like diarrhea), I always notify the vet ASAP.
He/she will tell you what to do to keep the pup hydrated, if needed and any changes that maybe needed on the diet to settle the tummy post vaccine and for how long. This is all based on breed and weight so please call NOW!

I would suggest that you call the bet to make sure everything is OK. This can happen but not very often. It could be part of a reaction from the shots and yet it could be something else. I have had more than one dog vaccinated and I never had an issue at all.
This is a puppy and may need more attention from a Vet! This is to make sure that nothing else is wrong and that there are no side effects from this shot. Ask lots of questions and what to expect between shots and what's normal and what's not! Take Care!

Things like this can be frightening because it is the 'unknown' and rightly so. I'm so glad your puppy is getting better and best wishes for a long and happy future together.
