Questions about Tongue Piercing?

A tongue that has been pierced.I recently got the surface snake bite two days ago. I took it out today because I noticed the ring he used was not for that. It was too tight and was putting pressure on my tongue. So when I took it out, it looks like this. Is it infected and do I need to seek medical attention?

I will be honest with you. it is good that you removed this. Your tongue is very swollen right now and it looks really bad. I know when you get your tongue pierced they normally give you some type of mouth wash to use to keep it clean. I would try this for one or two days at the very most to see if the swelling starts to go down. If you are not seeing any change in this after 2 days you really need to go and see a doctor. Maybe the ring he put in your tongue was not correct for you. Mostly this looks really swollen right now. You might try and put some ice on this or an ice cube in your mouth to help with the swelling. Keep using the mouth wash they gave you and rinse your mouth several times a day to get rid of the swelling in your tongue.
