Re-Dyeing Hair?

A few days ago I tried to dye my hair a lighter shade of blonde by myself. (I know it was really stupid) and it turned orange. So I freaked out and then the next day I went to a salon and asked for light brown hair which is my natural color, but instead got a really dark brown which I hate. I'm planning to get it dyed a dark blondish color in a week or two. I have thick hair that only had highlights before. I have used lemon and Sun-in to lighten it before, but not for awhile. Do you think this would be OK?

Do not use the lemon juice. It will dry out your hair and turn it a brassy or orange color.

I used lemons to lighten my hair before. It made it a pretty blondish color.
