Just stripped the black dye out of my hair and got it to my natural hair color. Then a couple days later I go to put an ash blonde on and everything, but my roots are black again. Why? I've stripped my hair and put dye in before and it took just fine. But not this time.

Did you use a permanent dye in your hair or did you just use a washable dye. This has a lot to do with it. You can try to touch up the roots only with permanent dye. You may need to getting a lighter blond color in order to cover up the darker roots. I would not dye all of your hair again only the roots.
This has gone all wrong. There is not enough time in between these different processes. You should contact a professional or get advice from one.
Be careful! My hair turned Green!!
